Firenze Osteria in Toluca Lake temporarily closed shop on July 31 to undergo a complete renovation with some new partnerships in the works. According to Lisa Long, who co-owns the restaurant with Chef Fabio Viviani, it is slated to re-open in late fall.  In a written statement, Lisa shared that Fabio will create new menus, including a late night supper and breakfast menu. The plans involve a new outside dining area, as well as adding "a few music people" to the team as they are adding an intimate nightclub.

Burnt miso ramen and ramen burgers from the Michelin-star chef at Ramen by Omae in Sherman Oaks may be a thing of the past (or a pause), as it is currently closed. A sign on the door and a note on the website state that they are “in the process of turning Ramen by Omae into a franchise organization,” so they need to “close the doors for now.”

Lemonade is expanding again in the 818: this time to 4400 Riverside Drive in Toluca Lake, just across the way from Bob’s Big Boy. Estimated opening date is August 25.

For those who’ve been asking: Back in June we reported that Joan's on Third in Studio City would be opening mid-to-late summer.  Now we hear the opening will be upon us this month, but with no set date.  Tender Greens’ opening in Studio City has moved again to late August.
