The Spitz Cameron group includes Realtors Andrew Spitz and Harriet Cameron, who welcome new partner Fran Chavez. Fran brings 30+ years of experience and more than $750 million in sales volume to the team. Harriet and Andrew have worked together in real estate for more than 25 years. How has the job of being a Realtor changed in recent years?

“The rise of technology and the internet have made it easier for buyers to have a handle on the MLS inventory, which is why it is so important that we maintain a strong relationship with a large network of agents and know what pocket listings are available.”

How do you deal with WORK-RELATED stress?

“It is important to maintain a healthy balance between work and personal time, and one of the best ways to deal with work-related stress is exercise! In addition to snow skiing, Harriet is an avid hiker, while Fran is an incredible golfer and tennis player. Andrew is the all-around sports enthusiast and starts most mornings with a private trainer along with spin/yoga classes and loves to scuba dive when possible.”

Given the low inventory here, how do you go about sourcing homes for buyers?

“Information is key in this business. We are constantly networking with business managers, attorneys, builders, tradespeople and building strong relationships with other Realtors to provide the connections for our clients they normally would not have access to. In addition, we research the active MLS inventory available and maintain an active list of off-market and pre-MLS properties.”

How do you stay competitive?

“It is important to be current on market trends, new technology developments and general real estate and lender news. We participate in peer networking groups, have an active social media presence and are constantly taking classes/seminars to stay in the top of our field.”

What are your agency’s specific areas of expertise?

“Residential properties are our specialty, and with our extensive knowledge of the inventory our clients range from first-time home buyers to investors and seasoned luxury property owners.”

How do you give back to your community?

“We are active supporters of several charities that are near and dear to our hearts including the ASPCA, American Cancer Society and—on a local level—Friends of Lanai Elementary booster club. All closed transactions include a donation to our company’s own charitable foundation, which provides support to countless local charities.”
