With their bright red hair and effervescent demeanors, it comes as no surprise that Benjamin and Matthew Royer have been in showbiz their entire lives.

The Tarzana-born, identical twins kicked off their careers when they were just infants, appearing in TV commercials for Target, Carl’s Jr. and Oreo. From that day, it’s been pretty much nonstop. The twins, who are 13 years old, appeared in several popular shows like Nickelodeons, 100 Things to Do Before High School and ABCs, Back in the Game.

“I fell in love with acting when I was really little and I still love it very much,” shares Ben.

Matthew and Benjamin play the younger twin brothers of one of the show’s main characters.

In every other way, the Royers seem like average Valley teens who love sports, daydreaming about their futures and hanging at the local mall.

“I love going to The Village (at Westfield Topanga) with my family and friends. It’s such a great place for the whole community to come together. Another favorite is Nat’s Coffee Shop on Ventura Boulevard … the food there is amazing,” says Matthew.

Ben, the more athletic of the two, loves baseball. “I’ve played for eight years and I’ve even had a chance to go to the National Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, New York. I’ll also be a Dodgers fan for the rest of my life,” he quips.

Another passion for the busy pair is serving as ambassadors for the Disney/ABC anti-bully campaign, “Choose Kindness.” The goal is to give kids simple tools to combat bullying in a positive way.

“I’m proud to be involved in this campaign because I have experienced bullying in the past. It just means a lot to stand up to the bullies of the world and instead of choosing to fight them, we choose kindness,” says Matthew.
