“Each student is different and therefore must be viewed individually.”

What would you like families to know about your school?

“Our learning community is augmented with academies: Performing Arts, Liberal Arts, Digital Media, Robotics and  Radio Broadcasting, AP classes and more. Academies stimulate students’ interest and a love of learning in a rigorous academic environment that prepares students for college and career. Students are motivated by their engaging teachers and the enrichment of an education interspersed with the arts.”

How does your school make our community a better place for children?

“The atmosphere at CHAMPS fosters respect for each others’ lives and interests. Students must complete a minimum of 25 hours per year of volunteer community service. Students graduate with a more worldly view of how they can make beneficial changes within their community and the world.”

What motivated you to start a kid-focused business?

“There was a need for a school offering the enrichment of private institutions at no cost to the families within the area. Students need a place where they can feel safe, be educated at various levels depending on their needs, have enrichment and enjoy learning. CHAMPS fulfills the needs of numerous students.”

What are the most important skills for people who want to work successfully with children?

“Each student is different and must be viewed individually by building trust, being flexible and creative, seeing the best in them, and motivating them with things that they enjoy.”

Tell us about your team.

“Our team is comprised of people who want to be involved in this groundbreaking school. Each possesses a passion for teaching, nurturing and motivating students. Academies have educators with teaching and professional experience in their chosen field. Our college counseling department has achieved outstanding results, ensuring 97% of the students attending CHAMPS go to college.”
